Bratwurst Weapons Addon

Post by Cabo_Fiambre »

I've been playing this amazing mod called Bratwurst for a while and i tought it would be a good idea to add the original Wolfenstein 3D weapons so i've made this little addon.
The addon is not restricted to Bratwurst and can be played with Vanilla Doom if you want but i made this with the intention to be played with Bratwurst.
Something i want to clarify is that the weapons lack the customization that the original mod has as it wasn't implemented so if the author of the original mod allows me we can implement them there and also add more weapons like the ones from Second Encounter, Return to Danger and why not even the ones from Spear Resurrection and other Wolf3D mods and make them fully customizable!

Have an option for Nocturnal Missions sprites?

Damage might need to be buffed to match lost episodes as well.

Indeed, it takes multiple shots to takedown the basic guard even with the MP40.

Oh cool, the old Wolf3D weapons! I'm adding these to my mod (stripping out some of the decorate script) https://github.com/mridlen/Oblige_Realm667

Nah but really, have a Lost Episodes variant and implement CVARs to switch between both.

Little update! I've added the weapons from the Lost Episodes, modified the damage of the weapons a little bit and decreased the amount of ammo the player can carry just to add a little more difficulty! Also added another preview video for the new pack.

Now the damage feels much closer to the original wolf3d, thank you for the update!

Very impressive addon for Bratwurst, but i'd consider removing the bob animation because it really never happened in the original game. But looks cool tho!

Thank you! Big fan of your work! I've might add an option to disable/enable the bob animation.

The chaingun seems a little OP, honestly. Don't know exactly what weapons people were suggesting be buffed, but the chaingun feels like it has the damage of the plasma gun with the speed of the chaingun. Everything else seems perfect, though. Thank you very much for this gameplay mod. Now I just need to find some more good castle wads.

Thanks, sweet job on it! It'd be helpful to have some CVARs to switch between lost episodes and original sprites, as well as an option for Spear Resurrection sprites and sounds. Y'know, just like the original Bratwurst weapons mod!
(Also, sounds are a bit quiet, especially item pickups.)

Might want to increase the volume for the weapons because they sound a bit too quiet compared to the enemies in the original Bratwurst.

Hello! I've been working on a lot of stuff lately and decided to give an update on this.
I've managed to combine both weapon packs in one. To change the current weapon set you have to change your class from your player profile and start a new game again or reload the map or any saved games you have (this is shown in the updated video).
