Fixed in the next version of the core mod. Thanks for reporting, albeit in a roundabout manner!
Glad I could help, even in a roundabout manner.

Aegis really is straightforward, but I love the note on the reel when it pops up! It really is mildly insidious if you're not really paying attention and suddenly you're taking full damage again.
I've only gotten the tome once, and I proceeded to accidentally kill myself with the micro missile... machine gun... thing. Skyblotter, I think?
The alternate mob reels are also real good. I've finally figured out which pirates I need to watch out for to avoid being set on fire constantly. I'm really excited to see what else you have planned.

I've yet to survive mini boss mode, but it's also just good, chaotic fun.

You might need to update, or update again because Kins released the newest version of REELism, v1.21! Your addon is looking for the previous v1.2 instead.

And i did run the previous version with this addon, but something weird happened: When a classic Chaingun breaks, it also breaks player's arms.

Yep, so it does. Whoops! Fixed.

Also brought up to speed to work with 1.21 while I continue my work on the pirate boss and the discord-999 jackpot.

Also, this has tomed versions of the D!Fender Rifle and Long Long Gun. Enjoy.

Five new tomed weapons [Assault Trooper Blaster, Neptune's Gauntlet, Roulette Revolver, Saw Launcher, Heavy Burst Rifle].

Pirate's Token costs more - but, on top of making PIE ASS friendly, also can summon a friendly Pirate Wizard, with a different set of attacks [truly, he is a master of all elements.]

Town's been updated - Dog Temple has statues for the new bosses.

If you remember the Wolf3d Reel, you pretty much know what you're in for.

Just with Blake Stone's colorful cast of foes, instead.

Infighting galore!

The humans and aliens don't like each other very much...especially since the latter replaced the former in Planet Strike.

Slight differences in behavior, too - the humans are more aggressive, but the aliens have more health.

oh yeah, and, before I forget, you can now pick an alternate boss theme for the Pirate Wizard's second stage in the reelism options menu, too.

Edit: Another new version! Mr. Falcon joins the rogues.

oh man i thought there werent mods for reelism 2 yet i saw the website said "custom content coming soon" and i assumed no one had made any significant mods. really excited to check this out i love reelism's insanity

New version! Not the most exciting update - mostly some tweaks to balancing and such - but there is a couple new things to be excited about.

First, vastly improved sprites for the Phased Plasma Rifle, courtesy of Captain J's excellent resources.

Second, a new reel - MEGA ITEMS! No weapons spawn in this reel, which sucks, but the weapon spawns double as items spawns, and both have a rare-ish chance of giving something more powerful, like super health...or inflatable wizards.

It's not done yet - there's going to be firebomb landmines you can deploy for real nasty surprises to your enemies - but, when they *are* done...

that'll be fun.

Hey bro, everytime i try to load this mod it comes up with 563 errors and just doesn't boot up.
Any idea?
I tried using ZDL and just dragging it into GZ, same error for both

Are you making sure to load it alongside Reelism 2?

what version of gzdoom are you running? works fine here.

also, wildweasel, the mod autoloads reelism 2, so if he's loading reelism 2 with it, that'd actually cause problems because it'd load reelism 2 twice and crash.

Update. Retro Rockets returns - with blake stone weapons, as opposed to wolf3d's.

Still working on the Firebomb landmines.

Edit: Tomed versions of the weapons now complete.
