Ashes Afterglow TC - closing the vault

Projects that have specifically been abandoned or considered "dead" get moved here, so people will quit bumping them. If your project has wound up here and it should not be, contact a moderator to have it moved back to the land of the living.

Ok, so I figured out the issue I was having with screen studder. It's not an issue with Ashes it's just compatibility with the Immerse mod. No more tacticool looking around corners for me lol but at least I still have my slide.

@Atarumorobushi18: I don't think a full VR mod will be possible, since none of the team have a headset. I was planning to make some center-view weapon sprites, which will be easier to aim if anyone do use this though. Can't confirm when this will be though.

@ihavequestions: the glock frame bug I'm pretty sure I mentioned before, but any time you fire a projectile (even a laser beam) the engine seems to react to this and trigger an animation change. I don't really have much control over the third person sprites without a massive list of decorate checks, which I really don't feel like doing. As for the music, I can pass comments on to Primeval.

@Rex705 glad you got most of it working.

@everyone Thank you for comments. Please ignore any remaining typos/spelling. I'm the only one free to do editing, and have many more fires to fight that are more important.

Yes, but this is the point where my code that ignores the laser normally is bypassed.

Great game. Fallout + Doom with 100% love, dedication and polish.
Few remarks for 1.02 version:
- In Uptown I jumped on Wheelers trailer and got graphical glitches
- I've blown Roamers ammo and Garavito was waiting for me at North gate. He started dialogue like I joined him before attacking me
- Check Silver dialogue I've asked him about Roamers and he replied about lost scavengers.

This TC bloody good! Has a great feel of SNES Shadow Run crossed with Fallout. The Open world is just awesome. Definitely going to a be a project to beat this, but I'm really enjoyiing this obvious masterpiece!

This is what I would say I liked most about Afterglow, and what I disliked. But TL.DR., what I loved the most is the many Strife-like and action-RPG elements it has.

Totally understandable, I was just asking because I've come across videos where people are playing Ashes in VR with 3d weapon models and it looked incredibly fun. They were just placeholders(M16, 1911, Grenades, etc.), but I imagine that all that really would need to be done for something like this to viable is to find all the right or similar 3d models.

I believe I was able to also get all the secrets in the Junkyard no matter my allegiance. On 1.00, no less. You're definitely missing something, I'm sure.

I have already stated that this game is awesome. Personally I think that everything fits it right and there is no need to remove any content, sure there are small things that can be work on to improve them (latest update got them already :) ) . I would love to see some upgrade that would allow player to carry more bombs and easy buy them in towns, I like using them as traps/mines. I would rise the price for last tier upgrade for every gun, I collect every scrap and somewhere in the middle of game manage to upgrade every gun, too early in my opinion.

Hey man, I've been lurking for a while here and I just wanna say that I'm a really big fan. I loved both the first and the second episode. :D

Currently doing my second playthrough and I was just curious if there is a way to get more shots for the Laser Gun.

Is this switch supposed to be unusable? There's nothing else down this end of the tunnels.

Ah, I believe that switch is for raiders to activate the lights, I think that little scene has an issue as the lights are already on when you get to here.
