Sorry if this has been asked before, what are the intended settings for free look, auto-aim, crouch, jump and compat modes?
EDIT: Are the secrets on MAP39 correct? There's 6 and I only found 3 so I went to Doom Builder and it tells me that 3 hanging corpses are marked as secret, am I missing something?

best settings are free look on, crosshair (optional), auto aim off, crouch and jump doenst matter as long as you dont break maps with it.
i dont know about the secrets. need to take a look
(Don't mind the green-tint, I was just using the colorfulmaps_mapRecolorizer_v3.pk3 left over from a previous playthrough)
The final (secret) level featured 2300 enemies, giving the arsenal of this mod really a good run for its worth - I enjoyed the slaughter thoroughly. The infinite ammo full auto pistol and melee claws came in handy.
I enjoyed the whole campaign from level one to the last one, featuring quite diverse environments, lots of encounters, tons of action and a good amount of challenge from start to finish. It starts of calm, then ramps up, throwing in custom bosses occasionally at the end of levels. Pickups were relatively sparse, so I had to conserve ammo and make my shots count or fall back on the slot 1-2 weapons.
Speaking of which, this mod probably has my favorite starter weapons ever. The laser pistol packs a mean punch, has infinitely charging ammo and can be set to full auto mode that turns it into a savage submachine gun at the cost of some windup time before it reaches its full rate of fire. Super satisfying to use!
Melee claws were also awesome, chopping and slicing demons quite effectively.
The rest of the arsenal is also pretty awesome, the laser machinegun, the super plasma shotgun, the rocket cannon, fire cannon and the two BFG weapons. I love the sound effects, visual look and their functionality. Very satisfying to kick ass with.
Spoiler: nitpicks
If I were to nitpick the weapons, the single shotgun's ice shot didn't feel useful and its primary fire - while mostly good - pales in comparison to super shotgun's piercing projectiles that can wipe out entire corridors of goons in a single blast.
Rocket cannon's primary fire felt a tad weak-ish. Small blast radius and damage is somewhat small. The fire cannon ended up being a more effective/preferable weapon to use the scarce rocket ammo, since it's penetrating round + lingering fire was tactically more powerful and effective overall.
Plasma rifles ate ammo so fast that I would almost never use them, preferring to use the BFG weapons instead - they felt more efficient with ammo use/power output wise.
The second BFG weapon's cannon shot felt somewhat weak - similar issues to rocket cannon's primary fire - low damage and small blast radius. The minigun was really good tho!
My only real complaint is slow weapon switching speeds - I wish they were snappier/faster. Same with melee combos, felt a bit tacky/slow to execute the kick+melee combo somewhat.
Anyway, overall the mod is fantastic, I'm definitely going to play chapter 2!
im glad that you liked it there are a few things i might work on in the future but i would rather make chapter 3 :3
its my first doom 2 mod so its rough around some edges.
Please check out chapter 2 and leave some feedback
Having a strange issue with this mod. It launches fine, but the very first door on the spaceship won't open. I can noclip through it and open it from the other side, but not the intended way. Some buttons also don't seem to work without noclipping all around them, making the level unbeatable. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, as non of the people I see playing this mod on youtube seem to be having the same issue. I tried updating GZDoom, using ZDL and command line to no avail. Feels like something just loads wrong and I have no idea how to fix it. Help?

Aaand it magically works. Not sure what helped. I've been fiddling with different seemingly unrelated settings today (mostly HUD appearance related), so maybe I accidently chose a setting that fixed it somehow?
But anyway, all seems fine for now. Gonna go zap some demons
Anyone find the 2nd secret on Map 36 "Necrofantasia"? I've been searching around for it, but no luck so far. There was a shootable button that against the wall in the big room just outside of the starting room that lowers a platform with a gun+ammo, but I didn't get a secret for stepping on the lowered platform. Still stuck on only 1/2 secrets found for that map, and scratching my head on this one.
UPDATE: Nvm I'm a dofus. I had to actually PICK UP the supershotgun that was the secret (I was full on ammo at the time XD) Firing a shot, THEN grabbing the SSG triggered 2/2 secrets!
