[Abandonded] "Man Is The Warmest Place To Hide"

Yeah that would require a lot of spriting, but in the long run it would make the mod feel a lot more unique and give it a lot more personality. I dunno, it's just my thoughts on the matter

I will take a look on the Brutal Wolfenstein SS gore and edit them to have an Arctic look

Well the only sprites that i know with an Arctic look are from Arctic wolf, and the only gory sprites of the Wolf3D SS i know are from BW, so using those sprites are much easier

"Gorilla" is virtually actually unkillable. I don't know if this is what it should be.
Something also tells me that there should be slightly fewer organs from the enemies.

I did manage to kill them on E1M8 and i will think about reducing the organs spawning number

Yes, the mod is not abandoned but i run out of ideas for an update, my maping skills are shit so i dont think about making a mapset for the moment, also i am working on another mod so my focus is shifted to that plus i have some real life problems at the moment so there will be an update but it will be in the future

Okay heres the list of the features in the next update:

- Remove the pumping of the shotgun in the ready state, also replace the sounds
- Reduce the monsters spawned in the VD monsters spots (what i mean is that it will spawn more corpses and have a little chance of spawning the actual monsters)
- Make a new difficulty mode

Obviusly yes but it will take some time between finding/creating the sprites and coding them so that they feel unique

You know, this would really benefit from some sort of custom mapset made for this. Most Doom maps tend to have lots of monsters, meaning that it can make certain mapsets incredibly hard to complete.

Yeah, it mostly feels pretty good, but the monster count can get out of control pretty quickly. Which can work too if it's like a bunch of monsters Thing-ing out and you have to escape, but even the vanilla Doom 1 and 2 maps are sometimes too close quarters for that. I get backed into a corner and boxed in until dead a lot.

I think less monsters but more durable/scary might work better, with the smaller ones as fodder. Kind of like the Divider in Dead Space if it's possible to script something like that, where it's a larger entity until you shoot it apart/blow it up into smaller, faster but weaker ones. Maybe if they're able to reach a corpse they burrow in and rez it into something else, with fire being the main way to put something down for good the first time, which I think is how it works anyway right now.
