Nice work! Seems that the 2 green pillars are not vertically aligned though?Marcelus wrote:version 1 available for download

Great work, I've tested here and I couldn't find any issues.
The columns are much better than the other HD Sprites project (the one posted here).

Re: Doom HD sprites (Not upscaled)
This is little problem.I do not know how set this animated columns because when are in same position in game are unstable and shaking. They are not vertically in same size in original.I try same size or diffetent but still shaking. This are also sprites with cliping problem because I do not know how properly set... I will try fix but for now do not know how...r6d2 wrote:Nice work! Maybe it has to do with image offsets?Marcelus wrote:They are not vertically in same size in original.I try same size or diffetent but still shaking.

Re: Doom HD sprites (Not upscaled) Version 1.0 for download
I must admit, I've never really seen the sprite as having a big square hole in the front like that. To me the sprite looks more like it has a flat plate (which would make much more sense protection-wise).
but, to be fair, it's not clear and, as we know, the Doomguy does seem to have very little in the way of protection in that area so your design also makes sense purely from a representing the sprite point of view.
However, if you are going bigger (and thereby more detailed), it might also be worth considering the cover artwork (which it looks like you may have done by some of your details).
that shows a much less square shape to the hole and a nice ridged border around it too.

I have many time for now and may hole make like from artwork is not problem. I will make compromise and will do something middle between artwork and classic armor from doom eternal...

Hi Marcelus
Great work on the sprites!
Quick question, can I use your HD sprites as a texture base for my 3D models that I'm creating for the Doom\Doom2 - Zift Chasm in doom project? I will give full credit for the textures.
Cheers
