One day when I was playing mods for Doom, something came to me. Why isn't there a gameplay mod based on Serious Sam?
Granted you have stuff like Batandy's TC "The Retro Encounter" and Bazooka's weapon mod with rips in 1024x768, but something like other gameplay mods we have today.
So, I started reading Decorate for Dummies(tm), and with help of lovely people from the Doom community, here it is.
Introducing Serious Doom!
Have you wanted to play Doom maps with Serious Sam weapons and enemies? Now you can!
Blast and shoot down your way to badassery with Sam's weaponry, featuring 14 weapons to pick, from the Chainsaw to the ultimate SBC Cannon.
23 crazy enemies made by revenatn (A cool dude and meme maker), all of them want you dead, and yes, there are Kamikazes.
I recommend playing it with mapsets that are Egyptian themed (Epic 1&2, Tyrant, the upcoming Perdition's Gate Resurgence, ...) or Jungle/Mayan themed (Brotherhood of the Ruin, Avactor, Exomoon, ...).

Gave this mod a go with Slaughterfest 2012 and ... miniature versions of the final boss that replace Pain Elementals? 10/10
Dunno if you accept suggestions for the mod but I have a few of them:
Spoiler:
- Fiendian Demons could be far more aggressive and maybe their fireball could be much faster (but you can destroy it with your weapons a la SS Fusion 2017).
- General Arachnoids could be a rare replacement for Arachnotrons.
- The Sniper Rifle should be more common, I'd make it a replacement for the Chaingun along with the Minigun.
- Ammo should be more abundant, and maybe make all the ammo types for a specific weapon spawn for their each replacement ammo pickups (eg. Cell Packs spawn cannonballs, electricity and napalm at the same time).
- The Rocket Launcher should have a slightly higher rate of fire.
- The Flamethrower should not hurt Lava Golems.
- Highlander could be a replacement for Cyberdemon and maybe Highlander's Bride could be a rare replacement for Spider Mastermind.
