wait, there's use-to-pickup?
i had everything just be picked up like normal

i think i know whats causing this though
i hade the original mod on, and changed settings in the ingame menu that turned it off
and i think that gets carried over to this via CVars

Hm, nice find, yeah that's probably the explanation.
Loading this with both Pywheel or UseToPickup will cause issues.

I haven't mapped much these days, but i've worked on some general improvements and new weaponry.
Here's a preview of the Sawed Off Shotgun and Bats Animus, along with the new blood particles!

Amazing stuff here, I love the ambience!
Since I have spammed this thread in my secret FB group and Doom Repository group (always FB), I gave this mod a fast shot and here you are a couple of considerations, will come with more feedbacks if I can though. Grandeh :P

Thanks! Yeah i'm thinking of ways to have the fog fade without impacting performance. Bauul was kind enough to give me his fog script, but sadly it dropped the framerate a lot so i had to scrap it.

Yeah, i know it wasn't much but i really wanted to release something on Halloween, it's my favorite thing to do :)
And yeah as of now both of those issues have been fixed, it was mostly stuff i couldn't complete in time for the release of the beta.

A good demo should be short and sweet. Enough to show you mechanics of game, enough to get you wanting more.

Sorry for not posting anything here, The Crimson Deed is definitely not an abandoned project, it's just on the backburner for now as I need to figure some things out before moving on with the development. Also GS3, yes.

To quote one of my Twitter posts:
Just to answer a very common question: The Crimson Deed is not a dead project, it's just on hiatus and i'll come back to it sooner or later, i've got plenty of good ideas. After GS2 I don't really wanna stress me out with these projects, i'm taking things in a more relaxed way. Back when I was working on GS2, I worked so hard I almost messed up my hand. I had wrist pain for months. Now i've fully recovered but I'm not gonna do that shit again. Not to mention that being more relaxed = being more motivated.
