3.5.0 Lagging a Lot

Hey guys, I downloaded GZDoom 3.5.0 yesterday and I'm getting some seriously crazy lag. Even using the menu to change the controls was painfully slow. To make sure it wasn't just the menu, I loaded up vanilla Ultimate Doom E1M1 and the screen melting took like 2 minutes. While GZDoom 3.4.1 suffers a little lag when loading new levels, it's nowhere near this unplayable. For what is worth, Zandronum 3.0 with the console command "vid_fps 1" runs fine as does GZDoom 3.4.1 (minus that minor lag when loading new levels). I tried renaming the gzdoom.exe but that didn't work and I updated my graphics drivers last week so I'm totally at a loss.

Here's my hardware:

Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3227U CPU @ 1.90GHz
Intel HD Graphics 4000
6 GB of RAM
Windows 10 64-Bit

Are you using the Modern build or the Legacy one?

Please also try the legacy version. I'm a bit puzzled by this. The major change in the renderer was done for 3.4.0.
Were you by any chance running the game at a lower resolution previously?
Also, is it just the wipe or everything?

Ok guys, I got good but weird news. I was messing with La Tailor Girl on GZDoom 3.4.1 last night when I noticed that the minor lag I mentioned when loading levels suddenly disappeared. On a whim, I loaded vanilla Doom 2 on GZDoom 3.5.0 and all of the sudden it ran completely and totally fine. All that menu and screen melting lag I mentioned earlier is totally gone. Now I have no idea what happened or what I did, but I'm really happy that 3.5.0 is running smooth as butter right now. Thanks for the help guys!

For what its worth Graf, I'm running 3.5.0 at 1366x768, the same resolution I used for 3.4.1.
And to be honest, I didn't even have enough patience to complete the screen wipe, so I don't know if it really was everything or just the wipe.
