Oh my, now that was quick! Anyway I see you mapped some neat and interesting maps despite you think you're not good at it, they're not so bad and you may create more maps if ya want!

All I did was to re-download few of these to polish 'em up, give some of these loop tags (Boss themes and 3rd Map), all with Audacity. I always use it, when I have a MIDI converted in wav to compress the huge size it usually has.Captain J wrote:Oh my, how did you even compressed all musics like that?! Now that's some good news!

Seeing a seasoned doom map player like Mr Icarus enjoy my maps is encouraging
(the High-Marshal's looking less than pleased about it lol)

Seems the only complaint he had was with the final boss fight.

As he should lol I was running out of "mapping juice" by that point and couldn't figure out how to make a fun, dynamic final boss arena. If I remade it I'd probably do something like the final arena from Vanguard, with the ship in the middle and enemies swarming around (and the grand-marshal mowing them down cuz he don't give two shits about his own men)Gideon020 wrote:Seems the only complaint he had was with the final boss fight.

Re: Bungle in the Jungle: a Netronian Chaos mappack
Yeah... About that, that's my fault really. I couldn't give him some tough and smart attack. Instead, i just gave him a lot of A_CPosAttack scripts and crap. Hence you always can survive this boss fight by just strafing... Anyway, i'm just glad Icarus played my mod again, but this time along with my friend, Skelegant's amazing map pack!

Combining the mappack on the latest versions of NC(3.1) and gzdoom(4.1.2) gives you this error:

Make sure you set the load order correctly! I recommend you load Netronian Chaos file very first.

So, I've played through this mapset a couple of times, fun stuff. But one thing still evades me...

Once you get to the end of the first map, backtrack til you find the banner that matches the one near the exit door

Re: Bungle in the Jungle: a Netronian Chaos mappack
EDIT: Okay, I got into the secret level.
Honestly, I knew what I was getting into beforehand, and it lived up to everything I expected. Unfortunately for me, I've never been the type for either boss battles OR bullet hell games.
All I'll say is that this is one secret level I don't mind skipping out on.
