The heavy machinegun's vertical recoil makes horizontal mouse movement behave weird during the frames A_SetPitch is called.
It gets noticeable more easily when you lower i_timescale to values like 0.25

Wonder if an update may come that could let you play as the Metal Slug Squad themselves (Marco, Fio, Tarma, and Eri)
Maybe make it just a player swap with no changes to each character

So GOLDƎИ MOBSTƎЯ72 presented me Iron Snail, because of this video we put together. Great job. Very consistent overall. The fact it comes with weapons and monsters separated is also great to make new combos as well.

Only one question here - can I use some of enemies sprites for my mod? Of course - with proper credits as well.

Iron Snail 2.0 was surprisingly good for a DOOM gameplay mod based on SNK's popular run 'n' gun platformer series, Metal Slug.
The gunplay was pretty frantic, especially on higher difficulties, and the sprites for the guns are good, despite some of them are either borrowed from other mods or taken from Realm667.
However, even though the game is as fine as it is, it was open for some improvements!
Here's some suggestions:
* The Metal Slug Music Randomizer could have use of more songs from Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5 (aka the one with THE most metal as f*** soundtrack in a Metal Slug game), Metal Slug 6, Metal Slug 7 and Metal Slug 3D (which i admitted to have a special place in my gamer heart, and that's not even talking about the soundtrack...).
* You could have used a different sprite for the RAWKET LAWNCHAIR, but the rest of the weapons are great though...
* I've noticed that the mod has seven weapons (HEAVY MACHINEGUN! SHOTGUN! RAWKET LAWNCHAIR! FLAME SHOT! ENEMY CHASER! LAZER GUN! THUNDER SHOT!), but lacks some of the mainstay weapons from the games (DROP SHOT! IRON LIZARD! SUPER GRENADE! DUAL MACHINEGUN!).
* I found the gore to be kinda lacking. Perhaps you'll need to incorporate DBTblood into the mod!
* Since this is a Metal Slug mod for DOOM, i don't see any Slugs in here...
* Maybe you can bind the Knife to Weapon Zoom by default.

Add Fio and this is a 10/10
