I'd say no more new features until we can have a look at Randy's work in progress.

I was saying we'd rather have you programming on the thing and making a few mistakes every now and then than having no one to program this at all. I'm also saying Graf's better because he has more programming experience, but that was the extent of my comment.

No, now. He posted a source release in the 2.0.97 thread. So far he hasn't added much of the unofficial build. What does this mean? Simple: I won't do any docs for it and for the time being I won't add any new features. That has to wait until I know how the entire matter continues.

What would be the point? Not a single one of .96x's major features (meaning nothing DECORATE related) has been included into Randy's code yet and the floating point conversion requires so many changes that any further effort put into this would be a waste of time. I'd rather adjust the existing code for the new version - but I'd do this only if I could be certain that it would be included.

I know but I wanted to show my emotion to see if it would make Randy feel sorry for me and get some inspiration.

Graf Zahl wrote:It isn't. Setting SPECIAL in DECORATE is useless so it can't be set by A_ChangeFlag which just uses the DECORATE flag table.
Could this be fixed then? Or is it never going to happen?

As I said: I won't touch the code again unless Randy clears up what his intentions are. Until that happens I also won't make any estimates about what could/should/might be done or not.

Just write the BFG again from scratch and it'll work.
