This game NEEDS to have the bryar pistol as a reference the dark forces.

Hey there, folks!

Long time no see - a lot of IRL stuff and different projects have piled up, so pardon me for this spontaneous hiatus. I suppose a lot of such hobby projects tend to take longer time than expected.

But here are some updates nonetheless!

- I finally had a chance to watch TLJ and... yeah. Boy did I have some reservations about choosing to put Darkest Forces into the Disney canon after that! Ultimately I've decided to stick to the initial concept, but will try to expand upon it to see where can I go with the setting and what can I salvage in terms of themes and plot.

- Speaking of which - I was fortunate enough to talk to some of the SW lore gurus that I happen to know. We went over many details regarding canon and the new EU materials to keep things mostly authentic.

- Finally I've been also doodling a lot of locations and characters for the mod, and decided to finish the design of the Darkest Forces' main villain - Isla Kessler.

How high would you estimate the chances of having a playable version ready at some point this year (even if it's just a demo level)?

Pretty high actually - I have a couple of dates in mind, but it's a bit early to share the concrete deadline. So stay tuned!

just awesome... keep up the fantastic work!

Tormentor: I think it fits, with it being a Doom mod after all, and not a standalone game. I would be fine with a more starwarsy shaped yellow keycard as well!
