That electric weapon looks like the Quake 3 BFG. Is that one of the parts you used to make it?

JPF does, in a way, remind of me of another project I haven't revisited, but desperately wish to:
It's not necessarily the same thing, but it treads similar theoretical ground. Guess what the complete title was? "The Legend: Ultimate Power Fantasy". The point is...I want to play JPF."The Legend" is an in-progress gameplay mod that will feature a complete weapon set (with bells and whistles - reloading, ADS, etc. - probably no altfires unless specific weapons call for the it), improved powerups as well as unconventional ones (random character/creature morphs, specific ability boosts, powerups that may simply make no sense), new and more varied monsters with improved evasive and combat behaviors (more effective cover-seeking/target-rushing, variety in attack types), and a new player character with increased movement (double jumps, blinks, flying, phasing through enemies) and basic attack functionality (wider array of melee options with much greater effectiveness, various powers and abilities) with sprites, hands, and voice acting to match.

Re: [WIP] Juvenile Power Fantasy - I Like It Fast...
Sorry about the lack of updates recently. Between sound editing, modifying monster behaviour to fit all the other monsters in the mod, and the general low morale I've witnessed among major ZDoom modders lately, there hasn't been an awful lot to screenshot or do videos of lately. I'm getting close to having replacements for basically every monster and item in Doom 2, so, you know, that's nice.
One fun thing I did recently that can't really be shown in screenshots was fix Voodoo Dolls - it turns out using +THRUSPECIES on a player class... kind of lets you walk through yourself (understandably!), breaking things like telefrag death traps like in TNT MAP30. Using ZScript to detect and change the species of Voodoo Dolls fixed this. This will probably still be an issue in Deathmatch, but this is a ZScript mod, so the prospect of anybody playing Deathmatch on this is direly low.

I fixed that. It was a bug that broke maps. Please read posts before racing to reply to them, you've done this in the past.Captain J wrote:And voodoo doll that makes you able to walk through it sounds promising.

M'kay... Looks like my dyslexia is striking again. I'll fix it later.

Here's a new toy I've been playing with. It's not finished yet, as its lacking that one sweet, sweet Siphon Filter reference. It's also not going to be the only possible Chainsaw replacement.

I thought you shot a short-ranged projectile out of your stun gun in the video... Well, sounds like a good idea if you ask me.

Yes yes. I was dyslexic and stupid. I just edited the previous post and deleted the recent post i've made. I get the point now, again.
But my question still remains; Is that stun gun actually close-ranged? Or very short-ranged?

It's relatively close-range, but as of changes after that video recording it also effects enemies within a reasonable range of the "zap". This allows you to stun a swarm of enemies and get out of a bad situation while they're distracted.Captain J wrote:But my question still remains; Is that stun gun actually close-ranged?
