Nothing of real interest. I'm working for a small company that specializes in developing games for cell phones.

I notice that the view there is at a VERY weird angle.
And is that view looking right down?
I'm curious to find out what magical things will be possible in the next version

Basically, the floor is being pulled from the top and bottom of each line to the very edges of the screen. The actual texture is then stretched across it (or will be at least) in the correct perspective. Thats my plain and simple version of it, although I'm sure I'm going to be corrected

Okay, would this mean full looking up and down and more? That's pretty much what I was asking

Yes, that it would. Although the sky would have to be considered as well. Without tricks it won't stretch high enough.

It's still recognizable as the crusher in Map06.

Also looking down ontop of sprites wouldn't work right would it?

No. But the current way of looking up and down is much worse!

nothing looks worse than a sprite which looks as it should and the minute you look down it starts looking like paper mario. it makes it look like a joke.

Sprite billboarding.
But I don't care that much so long as the y-shear is gone.

Oh, there is one thing that looks worse: A sprite that always faces the viewer! Imagine a tree lying on its side when viewed from above.

The other two appear to be
circle of destruction (that one side room)
and possibly
the industrial zone.
