I was one of the few lucky people that managed to get the old ZdoomGL working pretty well. Zanzan was a class piece of work.

Indeed, I only wish ZdoomGL had been better :( Its death was necessary tho..cuz it sucked

No, they're talking about the original ZDoomGL project.

The "new" ZDoomGL and the "old" ZDoomGL are one and the same. The port simply changed authors.

That's how I remember it. I'm prepared to be corrected on this, but as I remember it, the original ZdoomGL by Kokak (or Kodak if you are Demon/Daemon Hunter) was based on Zdoom 1.22. The project basically stopped, so timmie's work became the effective and logical continuation/successor of the name and project. However, timmie started by basing his work off a newer Zdoom (one of the later 1.23 betas I think) and for that reason, and possibly others, a basic ground-up re-write was required. Which, of course, would explain why some of the features found in the original ZdoomGL weren't in the later versions and why some still aren't.

You know, Randy had better say something soon cause everyone is flocking to GZDoom. Randy might lose a good portion of his worshipers due to the fact graf is constantly giving us new stuff.

If the bugs get worked out of GZDoom, I reckon that many people won't even bother with ZDoom 2.1.0 unless it has OGL and 3D floors.

Sorry Randy but you are losing power due to your lack of progress updates...

Well the community is actually on zdoom.org so I doubt we'll be leaving any time soon. And also I refuse to play Graf's zdoom until that one little nitpick bug is fixed.
