Just tested.

+ I always felt if, if EVER Nazis needed another weapon, my only suggestion would be the Tokarev TT33, to pair with the PPSh-41. Nice one.
+ Good selection for sound effects. The guns feel in their place. Peashooters sound like peashooters and bulky guns feel like bulky guns.

- You removed some of the "punchy" reload sounds, mainly from the PPSh-41
- Visual recoil is not consistent, Comparing for example, the Stoner and the M16.

This is a very nice patch!!!

If you could maintain consistance of screen shaking and pitch shifting between weapons, it would be top notch! :)

Keep the good work.

This submod reminds me of a very similar Cold War mod I was working on, though the NVA there stood for the North Vietnamese Army instead of the National Volksarmee.

That said, here's a list of issues I have with the submod as of its current version:
  • Enemy projectiles deal way too much damage, such as a shotgun guy killing me in one hit. You should really nerf the damage of these things.
  • The .45 ACP Uzi doesn't really fit the SMG role well due to its measly 16-round magazine. The MAC-10 or Thompson would be better substitutes.
  • The Stoner is redundant since you already have the M16, unless you make it the LMG version with a 100-round magazine.
  • The RPK sprite is just fugly. Use Sgt. Shivers' sprites instead, they're way better.
  • The M79 and RPG-7 ammo boxes give way too much respective ammo. Both weapons also carry too much ammo.
  • The PPSh has a weird zooming bug when you switch to it.
  • Are you planning to add any sniper rifles (e.g. Dragunov) or other weapons to replace the Pyrolight/UMG?
Since my mod's kinda stuck in a rut, I can lend you some sprites (angled weapons and enemies) if you need them.

The .45 ACP Uzi doesn't really fit the SMG role well due to its measly 16-round magazine, think it would be a Machine Pistol. The MAC-10, Skorpion or Thompson would be better substitutes.
The Stoner is not a actual Stoner 63 at all, it just a JoeyTD's M16 on it, i think you better replaced it with the M60 (.
The RPK and AKM sprite is just fugly. Use Sgt. Shivers' sprites instead, they're way better.
The M79 and RPG-7 ammo boxes give way too much respective ammo. Both weapons also carry too much ammo.

Are you planning to add any sniper rifles (e.g. Dragunov, M1 Garand or the M40), the revolver (Colt Python), European weapons (the FN FAL, G3A3, SIG 550, Sterling, MP5), the M14 or special prototype weapons to replace the Pyrolight/UMG?

Enemy projectiles: i could reduce the damage of the projectiles and the guy using the baikal was moved to the hellknight spawner

The Uzi: i dont find a substitute to the uzi because the mod is set in late 80s and the thompson smg were replaced by the M16, in reality i wanted the 45.acp smg were the M3 grease gun but i dint find any sprites for it and i am not a sprite artist to do one myself

The Stoner: i can replace it with a M60 or M249

The PPSh: this will be fixed, thanks for noticing this

M79 and RPG Ammo: this will be fixed

The RPK: can you send me Sgt.Shiver sprite?

UMG and PyroLight: obiusly this two weapons will be replaced with Nuclear Typed weapons (Because of the sub-mod name)

Thanks for pointing me this issues you have

Late 80s? Interesting.
  • You don't need to swap the shotgun guy to another spawner, just make him spawn less frequently (use RandomSpawner) and have an AK soldier spawn more frequently instead. But definitely reduce the damage, and maybe give the Baikal a single-barrel alt-fire.
  • Maybe just relabel the Uzi as a MAC-10 and give it a 30-round magazine instead.
  • Captain J has a centered M249 sprite in his resources thread; you can use that.
  • GAA1992 sent me an RPK sprite which you can use:

PM me if you need a hand with something.
