That's weird. The video part won't display on Linux VLC. (I hear the audio just fine, though!)

Strange. I'll upload to youtube and edit this post.

Edit: Here's a youtube version.

There’s a bug when I play Lithium with Sunlust. On map02, the Brain Interface becomes extremely fast and uncontrollable. When I load another map, the interface becomes more controllable. Playing this on SteamOS, using Steam Deck, loaded using ZDL.

So I tested this on my other PC and the results are the same. Brain Interface on some Sunlust maps are completely unusable. HUD elements such as the Vitality light indicator goes extremely fast and sometimes stuck on 100% even if you are taking damages. Other than that, inclusion of option to turn off ammo counts on the left side will be really nice.

This should be fixed in the next version.

You know, I'm not sure why I didn't add a setting for that already. Will do.

I can't get past the text screen that comes up after selecting your class etc. Tried all controls.

Hold the prompted button. (This prompt will be less ambiguous in the next version.)

It's been a long time since I was able to play Lithium (was stuck with a really old laptop for a few years), so I'm surprised to see it got so many updates! Very happy to see the dark lord got implemented, will definitely be playing through a couple of WADs with Lithium in the future!

Now that I think of it, is the dark lord inspired by EYE? The starting pistol definitely makes me think 444 Bearkiller, as does the pair of swords and overall armor...I just hope his legs are okay. :P

EDIT: How do I access the cyber mage's spells again? I know I can cycle through them in slot 0, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the older wheel-style selection to work. Is that what the mana syphon is for? I also don't really know what the mana syphon does, so there's that to ask too.

There should be a "special action" button you need to bind in the controls

Ye, the 700e is just an edited sprite rip of the bearkiller. Similarly with the shrapnel cannon (ovum,) hunting shotgun (betty boom,) ruzuk (motra,) and rems, although the latter is edited far more heavily so it being based on the TRK AD is less noticeable. (The hunting shotgun sprite in the next beta was edited the most, since I imported the original model into blender to animate, re-texture, and elongate it.)

It slowly generates mana. It's just there for idle time where normally no mana would generate.

Believe it or not, only recently I've upgraded my CPU in a way i could run the latest itch.io (haven't tried the git, dunno how different it is) version. I was several builds behind with my old pc.

I gotta say, this is water and wine different compared to its beginnings. We can only thank all your effort.

Somehow, I forgot to post this a week ago. Oh well. I made a bunch of unlisted videos public. Yay!
EDIT: Just one more thing, before I forget. The Hunting Shotgun has a new sprite now, made using a magical blender. This sprite set was made in February and is shown in the above video. However, I actually made an even newer version of the sprite recently with a more physically correct material setup, which is shown in the following video:

More stuff. As mentioned in the video, only 4 of the weapon upgrades are incomplete currently.

Revised the lighting setup for the Hunting Shotgun. The normals on the barrels were fucked up, so I fixed them. Additionally, I added an environment texture made by Ribonucleic Asshat. Thanks a bunch to em for helping me with Blender.

The Khanda hadn't been touched since the first revision. There was no normal mapping, a single point light, and no reflectivity. I didn't really know how to use materials at that point.

For comparison, the original sprites:
