Surprised you haven't voted for the static rifle. Hell, I'm still amused by that. There's some relatively big plans for it once I'm finished with this menu.

I'd like to see what more could be done with the static rifle... but compared to the other three choices, it's gonna have to take a back seat...

Why not a fifth option? I'd like to see the ACTUAL Hellshot, not the Carrion Cannon that barely seems useful to me. D4T has the Hellshot, why not this?

Perhaps you don't know what it was designed for. The altfire is amazing for sniping enemies that you can't see or are hiding behind obstacles. The primary fire can one-shot everything when fully charged. It's meant to be a single target killer, not a mass rapist with a few tiny exceptions.

But if you think it's still not good, well, I respect your opinion but I'm not bringing that awful weapon here.

Yeah, the Hellshot is pretty wimpy in terms of function. It should have been more like the Unmaker from Doom 64 and fire powerful lasers or something similar.

Also, this may have been posited before, but can there be a narrower version of the HUD similar to that in D4T? I generally play on 800x600 with the aspect ratio off and don't like having to force the 16:9 aspect ratio on just to see the full thing.

I wanted the Hellshot because it actually seemed pretty powerful in D4T. I could take down a Hell Knight in a few minutes with it.

You can kill a cyberdemon in one shot with the Carrion Cannon's primary. The only reason DBT didn't have a CC in D4T is because he didn't have access to the awesome power of GZDoom 2.2+ at his disposal.

Michaelis plans on doing something to the hud soon, what it is I don't know. But I think it'll help.

True, but I wanted it to be more accurate to Doom 2016, that's all. Also, can you please stop using Doom 3 sounds for the Cyberdemon?

Hmm. Well I suppose I could add an alternative mode where it behaves just like the hellshot... But it'll be a bit different still. Suppose I'll make it rip through enemies.

Well... Until I hear from FrancoTieppo, there will be no grenade launcher until after D4T 2.0 is out.

I'm putting that on the backburner for now, unless folks would be alright with me using a placeholder greyscale rocket launcher. >_-;
