Grenade launchers are usually pretty fun.

On the bleeding edge version upgrades seem to carry over when you switch from pickup mode to credit mode. So if I have the Rocket Launcher lock-on in pickup, go into the game mode menu, switch to credits, end the game and start a credit one, I have the lock-on mod to begin with. I've tried multiple variations on this (Pickup -> Pickup, Credit -> Pickup, Credit -> Credit), but only Pickup -> Credit seems to do this.

Edit: Another bug, the BFG Orbiter doesn't require another cell to fire again, so you can keep firing forever. And since it adds to the time instead of resetting like I originally thought, it can easily be set to last for well over a level on one cell. Since I tested for a while, I now have an ill-gotten orbiter circling me on my run through THAT WON"T LEAVE. I tried dying and resurrecting, it didn't work. And so it shall forever be the albatross around my neck, slaughtering everything in sight.

I'll take a look at the BFG orbiter.

For the keeping-upgrades, did you use the End Game button or just start a new one?

EDIT: I'm surprised people want the powerups the most. :P

I think I tried both, need to re-check if I just started a new one, but I know I did the end game button.
Edit: Both do it.

Hmmm... For right now, when you switch modes, just exit and load the game up again. I'm still looking into a way to fix this.

Long story short, the anti-death exit script is behaving a little funny indeed. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'll figure a way out of this...

Hope you all enjoyed cheating while you could with the upgrade system's cost/cash available bars being broken...

...because that ends today. Update pushed out on bleeding edge: you can no longer select the cost and credit bars thanks to GZDoom's ability to to completely redefine menus. Small bonus, your credit score is now red or green when opening an upgrade to help identify right off the bat if you have enough or not.

But chin up, guys! I'm bringing back the old v1 menu! It will be a bit different this time, though: 2D instead of 3D as it would bring up the old exploits and the game will actually pause properly.

Happy days, anyone?

(No, this doesn't fix the upgrades-persisting on new game modes stuff yet. In order for me to do that I'll have to completely overhaul how upgrades are stored which I intend on starting first thing when next able, and that means taking a CRAPTON of ACS off, at last.)

At last I've finally been able to fix the issue... I hope. Bleeding edge has an update to it that should ultimately quash it, but let me know if there's any problems that arise.

You will need another version of GZDoom (I suggest waiting until tomorrow).

Need more details. Sounds like you wound up trying GZDoom 2.3 instead of 2.2, check your version.

I know and played D4T but I like D4D more with all the options and the upgrade menu. The rare enemy specific upgrade drops in D4T are not my thing. But I prefer Zandronum because I like the simplicity of just throwing all needed mods in the skins folder and being able to make a simple shortcut for every mod combination. I don't like the drag & drop method of GZDoom or that I have to change the external files in ZDL everytime I wanna play another mod or mod combination.

Image
D4D in that screenshot is the only one I'm using GZDoom for at the moment.

Word of warning to everyone, changes to GZDoom today completely break the mod, so stick with a build from before this post's date until further notice.

Agreed with WildWeasel. One day they may catch up though, then I'll consider it.

Your load order is wrong. Load D4DResources.pk3 first, then D4D.pk3 second.
