Why are so many BOTS on this forum?

Just wondering why so many BOTS are always on this forum. Is this generally common for most forums?

all that means is that a web crawler is crawling the forums (they're explicitly detected so certain things can be hidden from them that don't need to be indexed. check the google cache for the zdoom forums if you're curious). this is common on every website that doesn't outright forbid them.

All those search engines must somehow collect the data they are supposed to find, don't you think...?
