I'd think as long as you're not loading it WITH D4D you'll probably be fine, since they seem to be meant to be separate mods.

They were meant indeed to be entirely different.

Unless Zandronum can somehow miraculously work its magic and be fully compatible with zscript, you won't see an ounce of multiplayer compatibility -- not to mention it's very... process intensive so D4D is exceptionally less desirable on the D-Touch versus D4T, which is a ton more light weight.

You can have it in the same folder (i personally prefer separate folders for my own mods), but a completely different .ini is advised, because the keybinds are NOT the same as D4D so you'll have to be rebinding constantly if you are switching between mods

Indeed. Neccronixis disappeared. Last time I spoke to him he said something about not wanting to do more weapons like this. Completely understandable if you ask me. He made hundreds of sprites.

If my knowledge in Doom spriting is worth anything I'm pretty sure it's a straight rip from the one present in the new Doom 4 DLC.

It'd be wise not to pressure him into making more weapon sprites; Doom Nukem took a similar hiatus IIRC.

BTW what time can we expect a release today?

Maybe Zrrion could be a very perfect replacement of Necronixis, just look at this:
