OOoh, I just had a DEMONIC idea; what if items that ran would gradually lose their effectiveness in time? So effectively an item would be 100 percent when spawned, then losing more of what it gives/restores over time, forcing players to catch up to them before they disappear in a puff of smoke, or explore, whichever is funnier. >:)
