I've tried to download the latest version via the "Download" link but instead of Version 0.12.2 it's just giving me Version 0.12. Not sure if I'm clicking the wrong link or if something's wrong with it.

Oh boy. Thanks for letting me know! That means people were downloading a static version this whole time instead of the always up to date version, assuming they didn't grab it directly from the Git link. It should be fixed now!

Yup it's fixed now! Got to play around a little and so far so good on almost all the changes and additions, my only fault with the update so far is the reworked Spitfire, I get the idea behind the slow moving bullets but it makes the weapon feel more in line with the support family than the rapid family, which I more associate with fast firing, fast flying projectiles rather than something you set up and use alongside another weapon, but maybe I'll turn around on it if I use it more. Still a really good update overall and a good excuse to finally switch over to the overhaul build permanently.

Oh, my apologies. It seems that was a leftover from some testing I was doing. I could have sworn I reverted it when I was done, because I remember seeing fast bullets afterwards before I pushed my changes! I fixed it! Again, sorry about that!

No problem! Now that's it's fixed I can say I like the rework, makes it feel more unique than it did before. Sorry to keep blowing up this thread with posts but i've noticed one more bug, the GP bonus for getting all kills, items and secrets is not working, the message shows up but it's not giving me any bonus cash.

You're fine, don't worry! This thread rarely sees action, so I am sure people won't mind. As for the no GP bonus after clearing map objectives, that is intentional. You can get that to trigger again if you have a certain equipment item, however. It was changed due to how easy it was to acquire GP considering most people would be trying to clear objectives anyway. The only reason the message still says it grants GP is due to the code being in ACS. Unfortunately, modifying ACS files can easily cause saves to become null, so I wanted to prevent that from happening to people that were playing a map in progress.

I will change it later, along with the footstep noise code to NOT be ACS to prevent such issues from happening in the future. I just wanted to wait a bit to give people a chance to finish up anything they were doing. Of course I will post a warning about it before I do so.

Hey Mor! Got a quick question for you, how do you level up elite weapons? I assume it's the same way as every other weapon but given how rare elites are I can't imagine getting multiple pickups for the same super rare drop.

At the moment, the only way to do so is to acquire another one. Though, I either want to add Weapon Enhancers back in, or make it so once you acquire an elite item it will be added to the general drop pool for that run. So for example, if you get the Galaxy Slicer, any melee weapon capsule can drop it from then on. Hopefully that change can be done sooner rather than later, as I know elites are very hard to come by, which is why I am also making some changes so the drop chance is less harsh.

Gotcha, I feel like adding the elite weapon to the common rotation upon getting one is probably the easiest choice, though admittedly i don't remember how the weapon enhancers worked but i assume they were just normal inventory items, if so than bringing them back would probably be easier.

Well thanks to Accensus the "once you acquire an elite item it will be added to the general drop pool for that run" part is already a reality! Thankfully elite equipment can be leveled with GP, so there is no need to implement such a system for those. I still need to do more test runs to see how elite drops are, but for now, here are the changes that were made to the mod recently:

Do note that an ACS file was changed, so current saves will not work! Please finish any playthrough before downloading any changes if you don't want to lose progress.

Damn, wasn't expecting you to drop a new update so soon but I'll take it!
-I'm so happy you made it to where elite weapons are added to the regular rotation when you acquire one, that makes it so much easier to level them up.
-New inventory items are always a plus, and being able to sell them makes getting GP so much easier.
-I love the new enemy, adds a fun new dynamic to the melee centric baddies
-The pain elemental replacement (I forgot the poor guy's name) is acting weird now, he just zooms around without attacking and he clips into the walls a lot
-whenever you jump and hold any movement key you accelerate super fast now which can make precise jumps kinda hard to do
-I think this is just the Wad I'm currently playing (Dark Encounters) but energy screens aren't absorbing damage (I tried Doom 2, Back to Saturn X episode 1 and the mod testing map and the screens work just fine on those Wads)
Besides those 3 little hiccups listed at the bottom this is another great update!

-There was a slight issue with its unstuck code, but I fixed it now!
-That was related to air control that was recently added. I toned it down a little, but do let me know if it's still an issue. I could possibly make it an option as well for those who do not wish to have any air control.
-I'll have to test this myself, but I can't currently think of anything that would be causing that issue.

Thanks for the feedback! And yes, any updates I do will immediately be pushed to the main branch. I just don't want to spam the thread with every single update I do, so I wait until I have a bigger batch of changes to post about. I am glad you are enjoying the mod!

I got a VM abort while playing on GZDoom 4.11.3. It happened while I was trying to reroll effects on an item. I've attached a screenshot of the abort, hopefully you don't need the "Zabor" part or whatever that is, because the screenshot of that is too big for ZDoom to handle.

And another VM Abort, same one but with an additional "tried to read from address zero" line that repeated itself, a lot. This time I added an effect to an item and I guess I got the unlucky one. Once I finish with this map pack I'll change back to 4.10 and see if that's the problem.

It's fixed. Sorry about that. It was my fault because I fixed the error on my end, but wanted to wait until I had a more substantial update to push. Definitely not the best idea.

Here is the changelog! The entries in blue are the newly added updates with this push. The others were the undocumented changes made in previous updates during the last few months:
