Re: 20 Monsters Challenge
I hadn't thought of a slot number... my map's theme is sort of gothic/hell and it starts out with a real mean and shitty trap followed by another mean and shitty trap so I guess probably something a bit further down the line? But probably not difficult enough to be one of the last either... I dunno, I'm bad at this.

Awesome. I'll update the list with your decisions, some of which will be randomly picked by me cause you're not sure. You can send links on a PM so we don't clutter the thread with them. It's also easier to find them that way.
EDIT: Updated rules with pistol start. Just in case. It's not mandatory for already submitted maps.

I'll take slot 10! Slot 20, if someone wanted 10.
Looking forward to playing the whole map set!

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
Question; does this have to be at least compatible with Zandronum 3.0, like DUMP 3?

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
I'm not familiar with Zandronum compatibility & mapping so you might have to explain in detail what could possibly go wrong. If Zandro supports UDMF and Hexen then I suppose the maps are compatible by default.

Haha, thank you, guys! Even right now I'm editing the submissions file with descriptions and trying to think of a way to combine the maps. I plan on seeing this through!

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
If you keep it in the correct WAD order format, or just drop them into a pk3, you shouldnt have any drama. I can give you a hand when i get back on 28th if you are still stuck. I wouldn't feel pressured though, this is a group effort and we are behind you Kapitan.Lud wrote:Haha, thank you, guys! Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
I'll need to drop them inside the Maps folder if it were a PK3, but the issue with that particular solution is that I'll have to put the resources elsewhere. AFAIK WADs in the Maps folder are loaded differently. I have a few ideas. Worst case scenario I'll be combining all maps into one single megawad. Might be the best thing, actually. Enables easier editing.
Still, thanks for the backup! I think I can handle it. If not, I'll hail "mayday, mayday".

I'm really impressed how far this is going, considering that this is an attempt to persuade ztxtx to try and make a decent map

Just because I didn't see my name re-added, go ahead and sign me up for the earliest non-taken slot.

Re: [Community Project] 20 Monsters Challenge
Signed you up on MAP03. I didn't re-add your name cause after the change to community project the whole up-for-it list got scrapped and is pretty much useless now. Doesn't mean you can't participate, though.
