Ahem, yes.

Having gone a bit crazy-go-nuts lately with the whole "costumes" thing, I want to hand the ball over to you fine folks now, because I'm having too much fun with it and need to focus on other things (not just things related to this one project either).

As such, I hereby announce the The ABAHB Custom Costume Contest 2016! And that title is definitely not a mouthful nor cumbersome to type.

The idea is simple - sprite a custom costume for Violet! See the above post for where the costumes option will be located (in the F4 Options menu).

I mean it's not really a contest as such, other than folks are essentially competing to get their sprite talent included in ABAHB v0.2.1. There's a certain level of standards I'll adhere to, and that's basically it. If you're good enough, you get into the WAD, and you will be credited. So get your editors out! Please use the below template/palette for doing so! Only the four below frames are required, no need to customize the explosion frames as they are gonna be the same for every costume.



Note that as depicted here, the pink range (palette indices 16:47) gets translated when Violet picks up green/blue armor, or a megasphere. Please use this pink range somewhere in your costume, unless you have a very good reason not to.



Submissions close in a week's time, (21st December 2016) that should be plenty of time to get some traction and interest up. I also don't want an absolute deluge of custom costume contest content, heh. (Good lord.)

Conditions:
- As mentioned above, use of the pink colors is pretty much mandatory.
- Format should ideally be paletted PNG. (Paletted to the ABAHB palette, seen just above.)
- Avoid transparency. It and in-game translations don't mix.
- As few changes to the barrel sprite as possible, please.
- Recolors or minor edits of the costumes seen here likely won't be accepted. Use your imagination, people!
- Nothing outright NSFW. Lewd/suggestive is fine as long as it's in a humorous spirit, like me putting a bikini on a goddamn toxic waste barrel.
- Nothing grossly insensitive or offensively stereotypical please.
- No gay blueberry dildos. Sorry Torm.
