Re: WadSmoosh - merge all official id releases into one PK3 IWAD
I know somebody added the playstation levels to the wadsmoosh. How would this be done? I want to add all the official levels from every version into this. Xbox levels have already been added, I just need to add the Playstation levels and any other console levels.
Also does anyone suggest any other wads I should add onto this? maybe with slade or anything? ALSO, Any mods I should use with this?

This has the unfortunate side effect of making all other menus look squished and awful.set "Disable Menu Clean Scaling" to "Off"

To keep with the "complete classic Doom series" ethos, the only map addition I could suggest besides the ports of the PS Doom maps is the port and adaptation of the Doom 64 maps, Doom 64 for Doom II. I could also suggest The Lost Episode: Evil Unleashed but with the PS levels added in, ⅔ of it is redundant.PhoenixCyanFire wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 8:13 pm Also does anyone suggest any other wads I should add onto this? maybe with slade or anything? Does anyone else have the problem that if you include releases, the episode list is longer than the available screen space?

Re: WadSmoosh - merge all official id releases into one PK3 IWAD
I wonder if it's possible with ZScript to split the episode menu into three: a "Choose game" that would have Doom and Doom II, then a "choose episode" which would have a list for Doom (the regular four episodes and the two Sigils) and a different list for Doom II (Doom II itself, Master Levels, NRFTL, TNT, Plutonia, and I guess Hellion whenever it gets released).
Alternatively, with a different scaling factor, it might be possible to have the episode list go on two columns.

Do you know where I could get the PSX Levels? Also, how would I merge these levels into the game, could you help me?

This might sound strange, but maybe it's time to go full circle and have an option for a "Doom 2 Complete" and an "Ultimate Doom Complete" as separate ipk3s.Gez wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:59 am I wonder if it's possible with ZScript to split the episode menu into three: a "Choose game" that would have Doom and Doom II, then a "choose episode" which would have a list for Doom (the regular four episodes and the two Sigils) and a different list for Doom II (Doom II itself, Master Levels, NRFTL, TNT, Plutonia, and I guess Hellion whenever it gets released).

That defeats the entire point of this project.

I gotta agree. The idea of this project is to merge as many official titles (and those perceived as such) as possible. Splitting them into separate files again would be kinda counter-productive.

Re: WadSmoosh - merge all official id releases into one PK3 IWAD
I'm pretty sure you can already do that with Wadsmoosh. Just run it twice with the wads you want to smoosh separately. The only thing you might need to do separately is the menu logo for each collection.
On a small tangent, imagine the "Plutonia Complete Collection" with Plutonia 2 and both Revisited Community Projects XD. Or the "Trials n' Tribulation Collection" with both sequels (Devilution and Revilution) and Convilution.
A man can dream...

That's what I thought shortly afterwards. So I guess it's technically already a feature since you're in control of what wads go together.RevanGarcia wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:53 pm I'm pretty sure you can already do that with Wadsmoosh. I second this notion, with the addition of Final Doom as the third game. Starting to run out of space on my Steam Deck's 1280x800 screen.Gez wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:59 am I wonder if it's possible with ZScript to split the episode menu into three: a "Choose game" that would have Doom and Doom II, then a "choose episode" which would have a list for Doom (the regular four episodes and the two Sigils) and a different list for Doom II (Doom II itself, Master Levels, NRFTL, TNT, Plutonia, and I guess Hellion whenever it gets released).
Alternatively, with a different scaling factor, it might be possible to have the episode list go on two columns.
The Ultimate Doom would consist of the original four episodes, plus both Sigils.
Doom II would comprise Hell on Earth, No Rest for the Living, the Master Levels, and Hellion if it happens to be released later.
Final Doom would naturally consist of TNT Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment.
The roadblock I see would be mods and PWADs that alter the Which Episode menu.

Ult. Doom + Sigils is six items. Doom II, ML, NRFTL, Hellion, TNT, Plutonia, is also six items, so I don't see a need to put Final Doom aside. Unless you add even more stuff, like D64forD2, PerdGate/HTP, or the TNT/Plutonia sequels.ShockwaveS08 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 1:05 am I second this notion, with the addition of Final Doom as the third game.
