we're planning to add items? or item sounds atleast
i assume the newer and fancier muzzleflashes are already filed under 'to be added'
and zombies should perhaps use the new weapon sounds too?
also enemies use their regular death sound when gibbed
weapons are good tho
as dinky as the pistol is supposed to be, it's still got the right amount of oomph to it

Pfft, welp, I read mod and thought literally a seperate doom mod, not the actual doom 4 weapon mods. Derp.

In other news, I've been pushing small updates to GitHub and may have another minor (well... patch) release shortly once some other things are settled. Huzzah quasi-real development!

It's pretty impressive how great this actually plays considering how you've decided not to go the flashy-fancy-shmancy way, what with no gun recoil or zoomed in weapon frames (not to badmouth other D44M mod developers out there at all) and yet still manage to capture that same essence the actual weapons in the new Doom withhold, they feel so punchy without being necessarily in-your-face and/or overty loud (again, no underlining intended).
something I'm personally dying to see though would be actual mods for the weapons, and since I know you're planning on getting onto those (not just from what I gather on the OP alone but from footdiving into the files in SLADE as well ) I have no concerns at all about where you're going with this and I know I won't be let down. Mightiest of luck!

played it and it was good, interestingly good. even though some of the sound effects are kinda underpowered unlike firing ones. such as shotgun and super shotgun reloading sound and bfg exploding sound.
also HMG and chaingun always fires horizontally, and plasma rifle's projectile sound effect is does not exist. just plays good ol' vanilla doom projectile sound.
...oh who am i kidding, it doesn't need any Uber-Realism after all! so i'm kinda fine with that. and thanks for the another doom 4 mod for doom!

Unfortunately the mac version of gzdoom isn't up to date with the Windows version, so I can't try this yet. Looks cool, though!

Thanks for the compliments, folks! Glad it seems to be hitting the spot.
While I'm here, I've uploaded a new version, v0.1.1, which fixes the rocket radius and adds a fun little feature: a "Monsters Always Gib" CVAR for the less-sane folk out there.
Note that I don't quite plan on re-editing the first post for every patch version release. I'll start editing the thread title though, just to make it a small bit clearer.

How is it different than Ultra-Violence and Nightmare?
