So I read in the OP that this mapset forces pistol starts. Is there a way to play through the maps without inventory resets? What if I'm playing a gameplay mod with progression elements, like Trailblazer or Treasure Tech?

Can you please remove the pistol start? This would have been an epic map set if it wasn't for that. Sorry I just can't enjoy it when my inventory is reset on EVERY map. Also breaks mods like Doom EXP.
I just think its really bad to force pistol start on everyone.
I Suspect it is the global.o acs file that controls this, but since source is not included, it's impossible to change that.
ANYWAY, I found a workaround. For those who don't want their weapons and inventory to be taken, just put +INVENTORY.UNDROPPABLE on everything. The only thing that still is taken is the Ammo, havn't figured out how to prevent that to be taken.

Except these maps are all meant to be played individually, so bringing in inventory items, experience, perks, and the like from another map would very well trivialize them.

Atleast not resetting exp, levels and the like does not make the maps trivial.
But I really enjoy being able to keep my inventory ^^

Have you tried the Inventory Keeper mini-mod with this, Josko? Sounds like it should be the thing you're looking for to play with DUMP 3.

I just tried it and it worked. Works perfectly with Doom EXP. Didn't think it would!Nems wrote:Have you tried the Inventory Keeper mini-mod with this, Josko? Sounds like it should be the thing you're looking for to play with DUMP 3.
