Is it just me or is it kinda difficult to select a weapon with the mouse while the wheel is up? It seems to only select a weapon temporarily and easily shift to another weapon if your not precise.

What input mode are you using? It sounds like you're using "Joystick mode" with a mouse. To check, go to Options->Gameplay Options->Weapon Wheel Options. If you want to use the wheel with a mouse, I recommend either using "Rotate mode" or "Cursor mode" (with my personal preference being Rotate mode). Note that for Rotate mode you will have to bind keys to rotate the wheel (in principle you can bind whatever you want, but when designing this I suppose I really had the mouse wheel in mind). Cursor mode is okay, but I find it can really slow the gameplay down.

Yep, that did it. Completely missed the readme file under the download so i had no idea this menu was even there. Now that i tweaked the setting to my liking i was able to play around with this better. That said, this mod rocks. Not only is it great for those mods that have a bajillion weapons it pretty handy for vanilla play too. Can't count how many times I got myself killed because I hit a wrong key or scrolled one weapon too far during a crucial moment.

Fix the bug where it shoots after selecting a weapon.
It's really inconvenient.

If you close the wheel with the +attack button, and furthermore you aren't actually switching weapons (for example, say you have the shotgun out and you press +attack on the shotgun icon), should you fire or not fire?

My feeling is that it should fire in this case, because otherwise there is a short delay where it is impossible to fire (when switching weapons however, you can't fire anyways because, well, because you're switching weapons . . .). For example, in normal time mode, it's conceivable you could bring the wheel up thinking you had time to switch, immediately realize you do not (say a monster appears you didn't realize was there), and want to close the wheel as fast as possible to begin firing.

What I think what you were referring to before though was, if you closed the wheel with +attack, you would fire and then switch (at least if slowed or normal time mode), yes? This should no longer be the case in the next update (which hopefully will be uploaded by the end of tonight).

Okay it should be fixed now. In fact, I made it an option. If you go to the Weapon Wheel Settings menu, there is an option to change whether firing closes the wheel or not. If you set this on (I believe it's on by default), then pressing +attack (or +altattack) will only close the wheel and not fire the weapon.
