MEGA might go down, backup your files.

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Sometime i wonder why peoples use sites like this for downloadable contents when there are already sites made specially for mods/wads like Doomworld and Moddb.

For me it's about simplicity. I like being able to click a download link and be taken directly to the download and, if possible, have the download begin as soon as you click the link. I don't want to navigate pages just to reach the download button, only to be greeted by a captcha or a fake download button that leads you to some adware.

Now I know Moddb isn't like that, but there's still a ton of crap in the way between you and the link. Sometimes the mirrors they provide are also unreliable and will give you an error page.

Doomworld's idgames is also great but what can go there is very specific, and I'd prefer to wait to FTP there until I had a finished product. I'd prefer not to constantly be sending a file to be updated every week.

Because uploading a 100 MB PK3 file filled only with Ogg Vorbis files isn't the goal of Doomworld and ModDB. This applies to all large mods in general. It's better on ModDB IMO because there are newer games there with larger mods, but uploading something gigantic to a site that is mainly for <1 MB isn't a nice move.
