Re: Eduke32 devs getting sued by Gearbox
Thanks to fan support there's a chance that Eduke's devs can sort issues out with Gearbox. It has helped many youtubers in the past, I don't see how it will not work here.

It's not impossible that Gearbox could win in a court due to some technicality. But after Randy went on rampage on Twitter last night, there shouldn't be any doubt left. The Zombie Killer wrote:>one person voted "ED32 devs"
You have to be pretty goddamn stupid to think the EDuke32 devs are in the wrong here.

Which is why I've been making it my goal to expatriate this country ASAP.Graf Zahl wrote:Welcome to America's legal system where money alone will determine success. In most other countries the losing party in a lawsuit will be required to cover all cost, so in obviously groundless cases there'd be nothing to gain. But welcome to America! Just drag it out long enough so that your opponent will have to fold for purely financial reasons, because even if they win, they still lose.
I love America but some of the crap that's going on here is enough to make even a hardcore redneck balk. This isn't the land of the free anymore, this is the land of walk-on-fucking-eggshells-and-hope-nobody-important-notices.
The media here is the most powerful organization in the country and they're the most corrupt of all. All eyes are turned on the election 2016 bullshit while there's real issues happening across the world, and it's causing a rise in some very unsavory candidates for presidency.

True, that's a pretty valid point to be honest.Eruanna wrote:Which is why I've been making it my goal to expatriate this country ASAP.

The president of Gearbox literally spent hours on Twitter on a immature back-and-forth argument with some furry.

That "some furry" is someone on this forum. So I'd watch what you say.Fox666 wrote:The president of Gearbox literally spent hours on Twitter on a immature back-and-forth argument with some furry.

Those are some pretty low blows by someone who runs a successful business.
To each their own, I'd say, but I wouldn't be surprised if this comes back to bite him in the ass. Most of what he said was either defensive or reactive, but there were a few personal attacks that he most definitely should not have said. But it's living proof that social media can utterly destroy a person if they are not careful, and Twitter will do exactly that. You can delete the offending comments from your twitter feed, but you can't delete them from archives and screenshots that people collect.

If I were him I would not have posted that.@DuvalMagic wrote:When I was a kid, my family taught: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." I guess some peeps have no family.

I am very thankful to that person. She practically extracted a confession from Randy with everything he said.Shadelight wrote:That "some furry" is someone on this forum. So I'd watch what you say.
