If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Maybe be a little less willing to argue with people in the future, if you're "not going to stop posting." (We don't give Google Translate enough credit sometimes.)

I hate those viruses that disable AVG virus scanner, thankfully they aren't programmed to disable MalwareBytes. I had that virus a few times, I have no idea what it's called I'm sure it's a type of Trojan.

i think i have seen that virus before

have your accidently downloaded this program called bear share
if you have REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY its a form of malware i think
the best thing to do if you get it again is to start your computer in safe mode
then run a scan so your virus scanner can scan more files or it could be that avg and malware bytes are conflicting
that causes problems as well

Fortunately I wasn't affected by CIH, Melissa, etc. Though i do still have one or two Michelangelo'd floppies laying around here, and that's probably the nastiest on my record of cautiously avoiding viruses. That was through sneakernetting however

also zdoom forums have really caught this newcomersmalltalkmadness virus where these mass smalltalk threads are all made and constantly bumped back up to the front drowning actual discussion threads. Roblox forum syndrome in recent words, etc. Not naming names, but it has been an eternal september mainstay.
Which of the Michelangelo'd floppies do you have... hmmm... two? and what are they called?

when i was 13-15, i ended up with:a couple, the worst a fake antivirus that kept me from browsing sites and had executable files try to open in a program rather than simply running when launched; it was, of course, registry corruption. i've been much safer with my machine recently; i actually went a year without an antivirus, and my first scan afterwards showed nothing suspicious, despite my browsing being pretty regular.

I don't recall what virus it was that got me. But back in the early XP days around '01 or '02 I got one of those ones that could infect the MFT. Somehow I was able to recover my data from that but I'll say I've never had a serious infection since then. Today's virus' are shit compared to those ones, they don't make them like they used to :p

God, I remember those rogue AV's. If anything they're one of my nightmare fuels. I used to had one six years ago and then an another during the next year.

Removing them is a tedious chore and if anything it's not worth it since it has done lots of shit to your PC that doing a total cleanup would be a wise choice. The first one, System Security left a DNS hijacker (you won't be able to access AV websites and Microsoft, and you can't get any virus definition updates) and the second left a autoloading .exe that loads a lot of stuff slowing your computer down to a halt.

Also, Recycler viruses and the one that destroys the task manager and loads up a "SVVCHSOT.exe" error at every startup. I would love to slap the guys who made these viruses while wearing a metal gauntlet.

Personally, it would be between two:

That WinXP armageddon crap that hit you with an error message and then actively shut down your PC after one minute that affected pretty much EVERYONE's PC's back in the early-mid 00's, to the extent that my cable provider actually had a looping TV channel dedicated to showing people how to get rid of it. That said, I personally sussed out how to disable the shutdown, thus allowing my computer to install the hotfix and make it my bitch.

The other would be Bet On Soldier completely destroying the same PC a year or two later, thanks to Starforce.

I've had two experiences that come to mind, both were long long time ago;

-Some sort of MSN messenger virus that was not prepared for my outdated system
I dont know what the name of it was, it was one of those msn viruses that send links and I accidentally clicked the link before realizing the "oh shi-". However, the kicker was that my old computer back then was windows 98 temporarily in the late era of XP/Vista, the virus began acting rather... interestingly. Cause it didn't end up turning my computer to msn virus link continuum and shit, they usually do on XP machines back then, it instead suddenly began to bloat up my hard-drives and eventually I had to force and format the whole thing cause I was unable to do two shits as it constantly complained about lack of disk space. Was unfortunate but I had new computer coming soon after it anyway.

-Some sort of USB computer aids.
This was on the next machine I had, I dont remember if I had XP or 7 machine already then cause time sure flies but regardless, this virus was a pain in the ass.
It kept on going on all the USB working shit, it kept on returning, it didn't do much per say, but it made file transferring very difficult cause anti virus went wild each time the virus tried to get active, but never nailed it. It made my studies back then hard, cause I couldn't transfer my essays and shit properly as I wasnt keen on the idea of spreading that shit. The virus kinda kept on playing the stealth game, it didnt seemingly do much, but it was impossible to get rid off and kept infecting USB stuff. Eventually I managed to clean up my system by changing to more heavy duty industrial level anti virus and I was able to clean my USBs with my sisters machine via ubuntu. Even to this day, I get paranoid about USB sticks I find from my house due of this incident.

In the late 90's it was WIN95CIH or something like that, it broke the BIOS and we had to replace the motherboard.
