This actually expedites animation processes like mine, where I directly import the hand graphics as individual sprites and then paste them to the weapons using Textures.Uboa wrote:I don't know exactly why you're doing it, but go ahead!

Re: [Sprites] Weapon hand templates
I thought that anyone who wanted to use the hand would rather have them as separate files rather than digging through the sheet. Also, what wildweasel said.Uboa wrote: I don't know exactly why you're doing it, but go ahead!
Well, since I have the OK, I'm on it!

Re: [Sprites] Weapon hand templates
Excuse my constant double posting, but I want to make sure that people know I've added a new .zip (with the new post icon).
Here's the Duke handset! Next up, Powerslave. Should be quick.
EDIT: I sjould note that the knuckle crack animation starts at 1-2, then the second half is 18-19. Sorry for that.

Ah, right, TEXTURES. I use that method as well, but never really found exporting hands from the sheet to be much of a hassle.wildweasel wrote:This actually expedites animation processes like mine, where I directly import the hand graphics as individual sprites and then paste them to the weapons using Textures.Uboa wrote:I don't know exactly why you're doing it, but go ahead!

You know, it's funny... I tried that tool a week ago, but never got it to work because I kept getting this error...torridGristle wrote:Slight edit of what I believe is a Freedoom hand that I made.
Rotated with RotSprite. http://info.sonicretro.org/RotSprite

Were you feeding it indexed PNG / BMP format images or 24-bit PNG / BMP?HavoX wrote: You know, it's funny... I tried that tool a week ago, but never got it to work because I kept getting this error...

Re: [Sprites] Weapon hand templates
It's not a big deal, really...
For me, it's actually more fun to do it the hard way by rotating the arms to a specific angle (in GIMP, I had to set the Rotate tool's interpolation to 'none' so they don't come out blurry) and do some cleaning up afterwards. Time consuming, but well worth the effort.

Re: [Sprites] Weapon hand templates
Why Don't they have any "smooth" hands?
It's better for a younger look.

Re: [Sprites] Weapon hand templates
I always wonder why there are no 'smoother' hand sprites. maybe its just me, but i don't really like the duke or doom. I guess we all have to live with it, if i can i'll get those hands ripped.
EDIT: Hey. Forgot that i had already posted that, and the Corvus part....
*facepalm*
