Description

This is an old HUD I made waaay back for my entry to Cutmanmike's 2nd mutator contest. It was made 100% using original doom assets.

My mod would've been in reference to the suit the player wears in Crisis, granting various powers: regenerating armor, radiation shielding, berserk power, light amplification, partial invisibility.
It was horribly imbalanced and was all around poorly implemented, but I thought the HUD ended up okay (not particularly in Crisis' style, it's just something I slapped together using what resources I could), so I figured I shan't let it rot on my HDD.
Ironically, despite its namesake, the HUD has a sleek, clear style.. i guess my mod had to contribute something.

Features
  • The HUD contains two size-states, one that displays more information & a mugshot, and another one that shows only the bare necessities. The detailed one replaces the original status bar, while the simplistic one replaces the fullscreen hud.
  • As you might see in the screenshots, there's no differentiation between screen aspect ratios. I personally like that the elements are positioned a bit closer to the center because of this, but please let me know if you'd like to see a widescreen version.

Pretty good, i was looking for something similar as this to my mod! Can i use this in my mod (with proper credits)?
Also, i don't know a bit about sbarinfo, but if my interest on it grows, do you mind about a edited version?

I have just cooked up a DoomRPG version of this HUD, the download link has been added to the first post.
I am particularly proud to present that the healthbar remains accurate while shields are active. (without a hack I added, it would appear full even at 1 HP) Sadly the mugshot will still appear completely healthy, though.
