...one's mother forgets her children play violent video games, and she badgers the hell out of her kid to give her something for her to buy them. And she's opposed to buying it, possibly out of fear that the violence might affect me.
Yup, she forgets I play violent video games, and that I've done so since I was 5, and two years ago she bought me Diablo 3. Several years before that, my dad bought me Bulletstorm for crying out loud.
Plan B: Trick her into getting me a Steam prepaid card, GO.

I told her at first, why not just give me money instead of bothering herself to shop with it. She threatened to give me coal instead so I rolled my eyes, but now that I remember, she DOES owe me.

Statistically speaking then violent video games increase the amount of aggressive behaviour (well duh, you get frustrated while playing) but lead to no increase (and probably a decrease) in violent behaviour.
But yes, yes. Violence is bad in videogames as is everything else 'wrong' with videogames absolutely yes yes carry on your merry way.

Along those lines, I've been playing Doom since '03 or '04 (or something like that) now and am cereal killer.

i wouldn't mind clothes for Christmas if i got things more in the line that i wanted to. a new shirt or socks are fine to get, if a bit boring, but i don't really dress up that much anyway so i guess it's a moot point.

I never thought of Major Cooke as a kid before. I'm shocked now.

I got tons of clothes for Christmas in the previous years, and my wardrobe is stuffed - literally!

most of them I never even wear, they just sit there for a nice big moth feast.
What should I wish for this year? Hmm...maybe I want a very own Sgt. Shivers for Christmas, which operates on batteries, and upon a button push, he starts programming for GZDoom

useful present!
