RE:A tale of two crashes.
Hi Randy, I like the new design for report a ZDoom crash
Enabling the Imp Sex icon to show randomly would be quite a nice addition to the revised dialog box.
Had this been in 2.0.94 and while playing the excellent Community Chest 2 wad, you would have had plenty of crash data to sift through.
Thanks for the laugh TheDarkArchon.

I think that the MS report is a MS spy program to look at potential competitors. Look, Steam has its own built in Error reporter (as much as I hate Steam, I have to give it some credit), yet the MS one kicks in! Even for Skulltag and ZDoom! I hate MS so much sometimes! If they buy and ruin the Half-Life series, I will never touch a Microsoft product again!

Looks simple enough.... Go for it! Learning Win32 C++ ain't that hard....Bio Hazard wrote:you know, while you are making all these dialog changes, why not make the iwad select dialog look like this?
i was going to make a launcher out of it, but nobody would help me figure out Win32 C++

Just an idea but is it feasible to generate a unique hash when a crash happens?
A user could be given the option of connecting to the bug tracker and a transparent-to-the-user check could take place that would determine whether this bug has already been logged. If it has then it simply increments a counter or if not then asks the user if they want to submit the new bug report.
BTW Randy, nice idea this custom bug report thingy.

Hmmm, the problem with that is ATM I can double click on any IWAD in the list and the game starts. With your suggestion I'd have to pick the one I want from a drop-down menu, then click launch.Bio Hazard wrote:IWAD Startup box
BTW, I've been using a modified IWAD launcher for a while with a hacked version of 2.0.63a It has no additional functionality and I really only did it to try out a resource hacking tool which can modify the dialogues compiled into exe's but I kinda like the way it turned out.
