 hmm. sorry for my stupid post, I did not want to offend you...
Firefox and OO are great software. I use them, too, because i can run them under linux _AND_ Windows.....
but that's another story... (and quite OT, too)

I'm a Microsoft trend whore, and proud of it too.

- The white title "bar" looks like the whole window is a InstallShield installer :p
- Maybe .tar.bz2 would be of more use.
- I hope all this debug stuff does not bloat the executable too much... maybe upx would be an idea (even if it's upx'ed, zip/cab can still compress something out!)
- what if there is no internet connection ATM?

If thou made it to Linux, thou hath got the source, so you gdb it yourself. If you can't "debug", run it in gdb anyway and execute 'bt' in gdb when it crashed. Mail the stack info.

*cough* wxWindows/wxWidgets or something... keeps the portability, and adds to it. GTK is a bitch on Windows, or at least was the last time I tried. (Oh danm you already mentioned that...)

Yeah, if you want cross-platform GUI API, go with wxWidgets. Under Windows, it uses Windows' native widets so it looks the same, and under Linux it can be made to use GTK or Qt (I think).

The latest patch does this automatically. ;)

self-ptracing is a nice thing... no need for gdb :p
whatever wx you do, you'd first need zdoom on linux. anybody got a source tree that compiles well out of the box?

Just get the 96 source, and patch it with the latest GCC patch (check the General forum).
