Have you heard Doom/Quake sound FX in other media?

If it's not ZDoom, it goes here.

Yeh, it was crap though, but moving on. Were the sounds from the Playstation version of Doom used in other media?

Sorry for the old thread (which is 6 or 7 months), but I heard the Hexen player death scream in a Mystery Files episode. One of the monster sounds of Hexen (or Heretic I can't remember) was in UFO Enemy Unknown (the last patch) had that sound effect, even the introduction sequence of Lands of Lore 2.

(edit: the title does not imply Doom and Quake, but other stuff as well)

The Demon death sound was used in Age of Empires 2 for dying camels. I'm pretty sure the sounds actually are camels.

The Imp death sound in Exhumed/Powerslave is used for the camels. The explosion sound from Doom did appear in The Crow: City of Angels Saturn game.

i don't see it mentioned here, so near the end of disc 3 in Final Fantasy 8, the Doom door sound is used in an FMV when some sort of giant tech door is being opened up. also, in Resident Evil 4, in the final part of the game, it uses the elevator sound for some tech-y doors that slides open.

I heard Quake's military lift sound in one Disney film, and the PS1 game Galerians.

Some kind of "special" editon Alien dvd with fully animated rendered ship interior styled menu's. A sliding door to the menu opens with a Doom door sound.

I heard a Doom door sound or something awfully similar in a movie about an advanced stealth fighter going out against a GPS based weapon. i suddenly heard a doom door noise when the plane nearly crashed. inexplicable.

They must have used an extremely popular and widely used set of audio samples when they created Doom.

Wirehead had the platform stop sound when the lift door closes. Also, Quake's ricochets can be heard when Ned with Reporter and Dr.Oja escape.

DSPOSIT2, the long former human roar, is usually played when a huge beast with alien body and no identifiable face shows up.

The Quake teleport sounds (and the shambler attack) are played in live-action TV when magic happens.

I actually heard vague samples of the demon death sound when I walked in a park and someone was just being pranked on TV that a big cat is loose. When I heard it I got scared and fled away. It could have been a lion stranded in the park for all I knew.

The Heretic death sound is hilarious. I heard it looping with other screams in a torture museum.

Even the explosion sound in Quake is in other places, especially Marathon 2 Durandal, Vigilance (by Segasoft), Tomcat Alley (often overlaps with the overused 50's explosion sound effect).

Doom's explosion sound is also used in Cybertracker 1 (or 2?). Guys, did anyone hear any sound effect from Wirehead in other things?
