I don't think Edward's bad either, but Nash probably has more experience with him than us combined.NeuralStunner wrote:Well that's an unfortunate way to be. Hating someone like that only hurts yourself.
Should mention that I've talked to Edward via Steam on as number of occasions (sometimes about ZDoom, sometimes not), and he's not that bad.

Then in the future, please think more carefully what you're going to post. This just looks like Nash is insulting Edward for no reason. I understand Nash's frustration with Edward, and I'm by no means trying to jump to the defense of either one, but this needs to quit. At least one of the two needs to be the better man and lay off, or this is going to end badly for both of them.

So in a thread about how to solve forum drama, you decide to post something that could probably start drama?

If Nash's too lazy to sign on to the forum and he just wants me to post everything he has to express within two chatlines while I have nothing important to do, I don't mind doing it. But you are right.wildweasel wrote:Then in the future, please think more carefully what you're going to post. This just looks like Nash is insulting Edward for no reason. Edward is the only person that actually has a right to get worked up about that and I doubt he'd do anything rash in public again, so...BlazingPhoenix wrote:So in a thread about how to solve forum drama, you decide to post something that could probably start drama?

Have they actually spoken in realtime or just butted heads on the forum? I know Ed and I have butted heads on the forum several times, it seems to be a feature of his.undead003 wrote:I don't think Edward's bad either, but Nash probably has more experience with him than us combined.

I've never dealt with anyone on this forum that has brought me to hate them. Hatred is an awfully severe sentiment to hold toward another living being. (Though if it's one of these bastards then yes, please, throw them all into the sun.)

I really feel like if Nash isn't going to sign on the forum and post it himself, you have no reason to post it for him, especially when it's hateful messages like that.

If the fact that I'm posting it is the thing that bothers the group of you the most, you may as well ignore the post or delete it if you're the moderator. I won't object to either actions.

...Sigh.
Yeah, I don't know what to think anymore now. This is just petty.
I think in summary we could stand to encourage the long-timers of the Doom modding community to act as good as they code. ALMOST tempted to say that Sarge's behavior didn't change anything, only brought to the front what was probably already here to begin with.
Why the Hell is Nash so up in arms? Whenever I don't like someone on this forum I just Foe-list them. It works for me since I can see who's posting and THEN decide if I want to see the post.
I dunno why Nash is carrying a grudge, but in my experience people tend to be stupid rather than truly malicious, and a grudge is lost on stupid people. So I try not to carry them.
On a happier note, I'm grateful he brought the Dropbox links back online.

One thing I learned in life is that being angry solves nothing at all, it's just not a productive thing. Emotions can still run hot, but find a more productive way to deal with them.
