How do you go about doing this? Do you resize the 64x64 textures to 128x128 and use that as a base?Flynn Taggart wrote:I'm currently working on it, I'll post it here after I am finished.
EDIT: I think it's done for now, the grime areas are a little rigid around some bits so feel free to touch it up.Spoiler:

I tried my best to omit the upscaling algorithm.Flynn Taggart wrote:EDIT: I think it's done for now, the grime areas are a little rigid around some bits so feel free to touch it up.

If I remember it, Clubey may have made a fairly good replacement for this and the bird cage skeleton. If only I could open the old Spear of Longinus archive...

Re: Wolfenstein 3D 128x128 resources thread
I do, I take the original PC textures then upscale them to 128x128 via bicubic filtering or nearest neighbor combined with the despeckle filter to help smooth out the resulting upscale (or median filter for paint.net or whatever the photoshop equivalent is) and posterized a little bit. Then I do manual editing from there for the most part, sometimes taking bits from existing MAC or PC textures if they help.Doom Juan wrote:How do you go about doing this? Heh. I just saw this thread and was going to post my original rips that I did a couple of years ago:CeeJay wrote:Take a peak inside my ECWolf hi-res patch and you will find it

...but you beat me to it. I did exactly what was discussed in the Wolfenstein 3D for Mac Rips thread... Used a Mac emulator with StuffIt Expander to extract the resource files, but then I moved the .bin from the emulator to Windows, and ran a highly modified version of wolfextract.exe on the files to pull out the images. I think with some custom tweaking for the file offsets.

Getting somewhere. I should have tried doing these before. =P
Edit: Meh, I grew unsatisfied with the markings on the map.

A little more faithful that way, but I like it either way.Fox666 wrote:Meh, I grew unsatisfied with the markings on the map.

Easily the best wolf walls I've seen in a long time.

That stuff's easily ripped, just ask for permission.Doom Juan wrote:I am in regular correspondence with Laz Rojas, and will ask him if he has any stuff from his Mac Wolf3D scenarios that he's willing to share if that helps anyone.

Does anyone has any idea what's that thing on top of the table?

To me, it looks like a small silver stand with two melted candlesticks.

The sprites red objects are tall and thin. The flags have more volume. Think I agree with Flynn that they are candle sticks on a silver stand.Fox666 wrote:I wonder. I found this:
Or it could be a white blob with two foam fingers.

Indeed, so far it seems the better option.
