Re: 'D' Radys Class Mod [JAPANESE MOD]
5/5 will play again.
I see at least 3 Splatterhouse references in here. That's enough to warrant a win, but the way weapons change with different classes is pretty awesome.
I checked it out thinking it was gonna be some meme fest, but it's actually rather nice and has a bunch of interesting weapons and stuff. I actually kind of like how shop navigation is handled, too, saving for the need of a custom key to accept.
I enjoyed Nagato (for the altfire wackyness and the turrent summon), Gore wizard guy (interesting mechanics and staves, also wins for having the Splatterhouse mask by default with a duration boost too. The cursemaker is creepy crap, though), the Etrian android with the dual gun arm parts, and B.Kid with the melee lunges (eatthemeat lol) and Splatterhouse Necromancer boss staff (mumble mumble HA!).
Show drop the author a line of praise on twitter or something.

I'm personally fond of the SPLOK noise that has ended up being a lovely fixture in Demonsteele.

I'll send a mail to SHOgun soon, I hope he will answer. Actually, I have no Idea if he's still into Doom modding.

He(?) still keep updating his blog(http://onomutilok.blog.shinobi.jp) with introducing recent DooM wads but no indicator about he still in modding or not, it looks like mostly he just reviewing WADs.Zadango wrote:I'll send a mail to SHOgun soon, I hope he will answer. I was always curious as to why we consistently see Doom mods being made by people from all over the world, but don't see not even the littlest thing come from Asia. Unless you count Russia/Eurasia but that's kind of a given.

I can't speak for China, but FPS are not wildly popular in Japan. There is a niche scene, but retro FPS are even more niche.

Old-school FPSes like DooM always very niche in China and Taiwan too, modern ones better, but still...FPSes are not so popular even right we have lot of good FPSes...Somagu wrote:I can't speak for China, but FPS are not wildly popular in Japan. Amazing mod. Goes really well with angelic Waifus for ultra weebiness. It's neat but kinda hard to understand what everything does.
Also, is there a reason that most the characters don't have a face portrait?

Does anyone have this? It's not on the original link, nor archive... I found out the filename with archive and googled for that, but just points to the broken geocities site.
