The Best Vanilla++ Doom Experience?

Hey guys, been lurking unregestered for awhile and a big fan of many of the projects released, lately I've finally repurchased the classic doom games for steam and thought "what will be the best way to re-experience these games without changing it at it's core". So, some of the more obvious mods were available and a few others, but now I'm stumped...

Mods so far...
Smooth Doom (slightly modified)
Smooth Textures
Hi-Res SFX
Asbergers and Tourettes Voxels
Hellspawn and Voxelbro (smooth doom modified for less conflicts)

The result is like a late-90's Doom, but I do want to take it a bit further, with a few questions...
Any good Music packs?
is there any good Vanilla map mods to better sport the Zdoom engine, such as lighting and other effects?
any great shinemaps that are compatable with smoothdoom?
any other Voxel mods out there?, it'll be great if most decorations (except bodies and such) could be voxelized to give the full map a more 3d effect.

I am not a vanilla type of person(mainly endless magazines, slow projectiles, etc.). But I would recommend DoomMetalVol4.wad. I don't have a link anywhere, so just google it I guess. Also, TNT_METAL_2.wad for Evilution.

DoomMetalVol4 is missing the Doom 1 text screen theme for some reason, but a remixed one of it exists in the TNT remix. People are very strange.

EDIT: I noticed you have a very similar thread already up, so you should expect a certain weasel to merge this.

EDIT2: Also, Dark Doom is a huge pack of several mods such as Smooth Doom, Beam Flashlight, improved brightmaps for GZDoom, etc.
