I genuinely don't know how anyone can have any strong feelings one way or the other from 3 seconds of non-gameplay footage.

I have strong feelings because it's a modern DOOM. I'm not going to care if it "sucks" to the masses or not, I'm going to play the shit out of it.

I actually liked bj in the new order, he only dropped the f-bomb once if i recall, after he destroyed about 200 feet of bridge while aiming to stop a train only. What the f@ck did i just do seemed like a really good reaction. Besides, personally i think that it prevented what i call childrens televison syndrome, where supporting charicters go quiet to wait for the progagnists responce, then react like you said what the author figured you would think. Besides in half life 2, i threw computer monitors at everything before i got a physics gun. Besides bj just seems more tired in tno

The Doomguy is most probably going to be an F-bomb dropping Hollywood tough guy, judging by Wolf TNO. Why can't they keep silent guys. Half-Life did it just fine!!!

TBH, both extremes are terrible. the former makes you wanna slap the protagonist's face, the latter makes you question the existence of your character. how about a protagonist that only talks when they deem it necessary to?
