Here's it with a more blueish color (from the D64 shotgun) and smaller, more C3-styled muzzle flash.

What about making a .pk3 with .png files for the sprites to keep the colors?

still bigger, but least it doesn't take a lot's of space than the old one, though.

Sorry... I can't get behind this artwork. Contra Doom shouldn't have realistic weapon sprites... it needs to be slightly more cartoonish.

Wouldn't something more pixelated work? Kinda like the Mega Buster in MM8BDM?

Well I decided to take a shot, based off the Doom SNES sprites just to keep the palette low and have that old-school flavor, and it's not very good but hey, I tried something.

I even put them in Slade myself to see how they'd look in Contra Doom. Problem is, they're too big doubled up compared to the normal shotgun, yet the normal SNES size for the sprites just seems too small. With the doubled up sprites, the firing actually blocks your view even.

Then why not just scaling it to the default shotgun's size? The doubled up version's hand is notably bigger than the default one...

I'm trying to figure how to scale it to the proper shotgun size but GIMP2 always ruins it each time. Damn my luck.
