Also the ammo for Excavator (Excavation Bombs) shouldn't be named the HEGR in the HUD as the grenades for a Thumper before.
Added. Excavator ammo called HEGR until it will be changed in game files

Much obliged friend, this is the best HUD by far in Doom!

This is a great HUD, nonetheless I have two suggestions if possible. The first is to somehow improve the health bar because as it is it's IMO a bit too small to fully make out during combat, and there isn't any visual difference for when you obtain a soulsphere for example. the Samsara hud IIRC switched from red to blue on the health bar when you went over 100 health, maybe this is something worth considering?

The second suggestion would be more of a bonus: I'm using this HUD for a mod that beyond the standard yellow/red/blue keys also has green/orange/purple/black keys. Is there any way the key counter could be extended to support more keys for mods that have it?

Thanks for the good work at any rate.

Doesn't it look confusing?

It looks similar to the arm.save bar, perhaps you could try a deeper blue?

Since Hexereticdoom has now added interpolation of ammo counts and meters into his HUD for his personal project, I've decided to do the same for the Brutal Doom, BD64, SmoothDoom, and Vanilla iterations of the HUD. Expect smoother animations across the board.

Credit goes to Hexereticdoom for the original HUD and its Brutal Doom v20b and SmoothDoom variants. Blood Ode is also supported, as usual.
Credit goes to Tekish for his Brutal Doom 64 version of the HUD. This HUD will also work with Absolute Nightmare.

SmoothDoom variant is in the next post, due to attachment limits.

Almost...

Guess I have 14 keys on this, didn't realize. not that it matters anyway, in a realistic situation you'd never get all 14 in a map. So this should work perfectly, thank you!

To be honest I'm not sure how I feel about the removal of the global ammo counter, that was some nice info to have (although not very mod friendly). You could perhaps try also relocating the KEYS logo as it's taking up quite a bit of screen visual space?

Also, while I do like what you did for the 200 health, that /only/ displays if you have 200 health, and as soon as you drop to even 199 it returns to the normal color, making it a little bit pointless.

By the way, I basically exclusively play with this HUD now, so wanted to say kudos to all of those who helped make it as great as it is. Hopefully it can be improved further with these notes.

Can I ask you Dynamo, what Doom mod are you using which has more than 6 keys?
I know one Doom wad which started promising, but to the end became ridiculously awful. The Doom wad what Aquariua199 reviewed had 8 keys and there is a video:
