Most objects that you see in these shots (including the panes of glass in the observation platform) are .md3 models. Some things are 3D floors (the observation deck and the lift).

There are about 45 uniquely skinned models on this portion of the map now... While a very few of them *could* be replaced with 3D floors, the complexity of mapping the sloped ceilings over 3D floors makes that next to impossible. I think there are already like 80 control sectors for all of the unique 3D floors, and I haven't finished the 'exterior' walls of the observation platform yet.

FPS takes a hit in the main shuttlebay at some times... Lowest I've seen was 40 or so, as opposed to the 150+ I get normally. No stuttering, though.

Most of the models and textures in the TC are mine... Either done recently from scratch or redone from models I did around 10 years ago for the Argas Effect mod for Elite Force. I still have a few models by other people that I'll need to replace (or track down and get permissions from) before I can do a release. Most noticeably the standard chair model and the Enterprise model that I have set up in the title sequence right now, but there are a few others that I need to re-do as well.

I didn't know you worked on Argas Effect. Man, I miss those Spehs Station k7 days...

It just pisses me off - I started an Aliens mod and called it Alien: Infestation and Fox has the balls to take that title from me! I've been picking at Star Trek for 10 years - and now somebody's beating me to it!

I used to dream of taking the resources from K7 and making a doom mod. But I still needed to make my own models.
