If you think your sprites are being used unfairly in SD, we can have that discussion. For the record I have huge respect for your work and find this animosity kind of unnecessary.

I've no problem with my sprites being used. hell, I am the king of sprite poaching.
its all freeware. I was just saying they were in there.
as for your mod. its excellently executed and presented. I'm just not keen on it, no offence/animosity intended.
I'm not a fan of the smooth look. and see no reason to defend my personal preferences; I don't have to like it, aside for weapons anims I prefer it oldskool. always have...
I don't need to get the oooh-cat out again here do I?

I respect your decisions to keep things the way they are, but I think "not taking any more suggestions" is a bit extreme.. Sure if you wanna have a break from it, but I would think you'd wanna make it the best possible.. Great work anyway.

Bored now.
Anyway just thought I'd mention that I only just tried the mod in gzdoom for the first time and Sgt. Shivers textures really shine out in this engine. Its a must see...

His textures are great, they go well with other mods too, like Trailblazer.

For some reason the grenade sometimes makes an explosion sound before it explodes. Is this intentional?

The grenade bug is a gzdoom thing this was designed entirely for zdoom.

Few more things, not sure if they were mentioned before:
The nailgun fire two shots with one press of the fire key, in the original Quake it only shot one.
Same as above for the thunder-shaft.
The quick-kick seems much better fit for pushing away enemies instead of outright damaging them. I can edit it myself to achieve this effect, so just a thought.
The weapons don't instant switch like in Quake, it is fairly easy to implement tho.
Is it possible to work Quake music into this, I think it might be neat to have the full quake experience.
The axe sprite and animation has some problems, especially in widescreen.

so there it is: done...
...the only changes from now on will be compatibility as zdoom code changes and things get depreciated...
I always say 'have a plan, stick to it' this meets my original specification and then some, so I'm done now.

Lol, every couple of pages, like clockwork. What will you be working on now, oscj? I'd be interested to see your take on a Quake 2 mod, or Doom 64 or Doom 3 or something. Your mods are good at feeling close to vanilla but with nice extra features.
