OTesque but (in the wake of the WWE2K15 and event disappointment) I nearly had a urge to do a GPL wrasslin' game yesterday and stopped myself because of animation and animation system demands.

Was theorizing with Darkplaces due to its skeletal qc extensions. though doing a caw system would be the death of me since i'd then would have to tear up an engine to handle blended texture uploads and painting.

the gimmick would've been high fantasy so there would be faeries pulling off ddts, ogreweights and other beyondlimit things like that. in other words, desperately not resembling WWE. making the paranoid debian mailing lists happy. also the promotion would be run by a sentient octopus

In all honestly, Create-a-Wrestler is the only reason I even buy wrestling games in the first place (and if Majhost wasn't down, I'd show off why), so a wrestling game without CAW better at least be playable and not a nightmare of button combos, or there's just nothing left in it for me.

Ugh. WWF was great before I became an actual wrestler in high school, and did the "real" thing. Watching it now, or even seeing clips of it, is so embarrassingly bad, but I suppose it's always been that bad. It's just now it seems like it's "so bad it's just bad" rather than the other way around.
