Projects for any Doom-based engine (especially 3DGE) are perfectly acceptable here too.

Although OR support is not something I am particularly interested in, you are right that Doom doesn't have a reload concept, but GZDoom does. Historically, many weapon mods made home-baked reload solutions but GZDoom also now has built in support for binding a key to a reload action and thereby making the weapon jump to its reload state label.
